Hello!
My name is Alexandre Calixte, a sound engineer based in Montreal, specializing in recording, mixing, and post-production across all musical and audiovisual styles.
My journey began with the guitar—an instrument that led me to study at Cégep de Saint-Laurent, where I earned a diploma in Jazz Guitar (2018).
I then continued my education at Concordia University in the Electroacoustics program (2021), completing a bachelor’s degree focused primarily on creation, modular synthesis, and sound design for various media.
I later completed my Master’s degree in Sound Recording at McGill University in Montreal (2024), under the supervision of Richard King, Martha de Francisco, George Massenburg, Steven Epstein, and Wieslaw Woszczyk.
My professional career began with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, working as a sound engineer for their Tanglewood Summer Festival in the Berkshires.
I subsequently assisted Carl Talbot on numerous projects, with clients such as the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, Valérie Milot, Louise Bessette, and many other artists.
Alongside this work, I collaborate with Studio PM (Pierre Marchand) in Montreal, while also developing my own creative space, Studio Filigrane, located in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
Whether it is in the studio or in live sound, my goal remains the same: to put my technical skills at the service of art. Every project is unique, and I place great importance on listening, communication, and building a relationship of trust with artists. More than a technical role, my work is about elevating your ideas into a transformative, professional, and memorable sonic experience.
